Babacarr Dieng

Singer, song-writer, percussionist from Senegal. Current projects include working with Jally Kebba Susso "Manding Sabu" and Lye sowe. He was born from a long line of Wallof Griots of Senegal playing Sabar, singing and dancing.
He grew up in France where he learned intensely with his father and other great percussionists from all over the world and joined to his father's group, Tamra which set up 1994 by the former Youssou Ndour drummer Magatte Dieng & father of Babacarr Dieng.

He toured France with the Tamra ensemble with great success. Babacarr is keen to share the process of making music with a pan-african vibe with the roots stretching across his motherland.
